While several of our top resorts are already open for the season, the vast majority will start spinning their lifts this weekend, giving skiers and riders more reasons to be grateful this Thanksgiving weekend. In preparation for opening day, many resorts have spent the past few weeks turning their snowmaking guns to full force and getting the slopes ski-season ready. Combined with the many large snowstorms that have been sweeping across the country lately, it’s shaping up to be a stellar weekend on the slopes with plenty of fresh snow and opening-day festivities.
Here are a few lists of top ski resorts that are already open, and resorts that will be opening throughout the weekend:
