In partnership with Woodrun V, Snowmass
After years of booking ski trips across the Rockies, we continuously claim Snowmass as a favorite here at Ski.com. Snowmass has a way of spoiling you. It could be the 3,300-plus acres of terrain that never feels crowded. Maybe it's the laid-back feel of the mountain that's amazing for families of all ski levels. Or maybe—and this is what keeps people coming back—it's the quiet luxury and feeling of escape. Room to breathe. Room to ski. Room to actually relax on a ski vacation.
But here's the thing we tell travelers all the time: where you stay shapes everything. The right condo can turn a good trip into the kind of week you'll talk about for years. And in Snowmass, Woodrun V is that place—the one the locals would pick if they were hosting out-of-town friends.
We've all been there, scrolling through endless rental listings at midnight, trying to decode whether "ski-in ski-out" really means what it says or if you'll actually be schlepping gear through three parking lots. That's where we come in. At Ski.com, our Mountain Travel Experts know these condos inside and out. The Experts know the floor plans, the views, which unit gets morning sun, and which one has the best setup for families with little kids. We've been doing this for over 50 years, and honestly? We love talking about Woodrun V.

I keep coming back to Woodrun V because it just works for so many different types of trips. Families, friend groups, couples — it fits them all. These condos check every box: spacious layouts, real fireplaces, full kitchens, and the kind of ski-in ski-out access that actually means ski-in ski-out. The new Coney Express lift is just steps from the townhomes. You’ve also got quick access to the Village Express on Fanny Hill and the Elk Camp Gondola. I’ve seen just about every setup in Snowmass, and this is one of the best for lift access, hands down.
Location-wise, you can’t beat it. You’re right in the heart of Snowmass Village, which means you can clip in from your front door in the morning and walk to Venga Venga for dinner that night. No shuttles, no parking headaches, just skiing, eating, and relaxing. And if you want to hop over to Aspen for the day, it’s an easy eight-mile ride on the free RFTA buses that stop just a short walk away at the Snowmass Village Mall.
Little details go a long way here. Covered parking is included (you’ll be grateful for that when it’s snowing sideways), and there’s an outdoor heated pool plus two hot tubs at the Welcome Center. After a long day on the mountain, those hot tubs are non-negotiable.

If you're the type who wants to be on the mountain before anyone else, this is your spot. We book this one for serious skiers all the time.
It's a 4-bedroom, 6.5-bath corner townhome with wrap-around windows and views of Fanny Hill. You've got direct access to the Village Express and Elk Camp lifts. You can literally wake up, grab coffee, and step straight onto the slopes.
The main living area is built for groups—plenty of seating, a wood-burning fireplace, and those big windows that let in endless sunlight. The kitchen is fully updated with granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and bar seating. I’ve had clients tell me they are actually excited to wake up and cook breakfast here, which is saying something on a ski trip.
Upstairs, the primary suite feels like its own retreat. Vaulted ceilings, a king bed, a balcony with Snowmass mountain views, and an ensuite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. Downstairs, there's a den and bedrooms with bunks, which is perfect for kids or more friends. There's a ski locker right by the door, which sounds minor until you realize how organized it keeps you and the crew.

I recommend this one to bigger families often. It's a 3-bedroom, 5-bathroom residence with 3,100 square feet that comfortably sleeps 10. It feels like the quintessential ski home.
The master bedroom has a king bed, and two additional bedrooms have queens, which makes it perfect for families or two families traveling together. The living room is open-concept with mountain views and a fireplace, and honestly, this is where everyone ends up at the end of the day. Playing cards, drinking wine, and arguing about who fell the most or who got the most runs in.
The kitchen is set up for large family meals—big dinners, lazy breakfasts, the kind of cooking that's more about hanging out than anything else. And because you're only 80 yards from Fanny Hill, mornings are simple. No car-packing, no parking lot drama. Just boots on and you're skiing.
There's a washer and dryer (crucial with kids), a private entrance, and you're close enough to Snowmass Village that ski school, lunch breaks, and dinner out are all easy. This place feels like home at the end of the day.

Some people book a ski trip for powder days. Others want the whole experience to feel intentional and beautiful. If you're in the second camp, this is my top suggestion for a vacation rental in Snowmass.
This is a 3-bedroom, 4.5-bath residence with 3,000 square feet that sleeps up to eight. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a fireplace that adds warmth to balance the clean modern lines, and a chef's kitchen that makes cooking a stress-free experience. High-end appliances, granite counters, open-concept dining so friends can hang out to chat while you cook—it's a really beautiful space.
The master suite has a king bed and a spa-style ensuite bathroom. The two guest bedrooms have queen beds with luxury linens. There's a private patio where you can have morning coffee or après wine with mountain views. You're steps from Snowmass Village's restaurants and shops, but the condo itself is tucked away enough that it's quiet.

This is the one I book for groups who want space, privacy, and a place to actually hang out together. Friends' trips, birthday weekends, long-overdue reunions—this unit works.
It's a 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom residence with 2,950 square feet that sleeps up to 10. The living room has a fireplace that becomes everyone's gathering spot. There's a game room with a pool table that will absolutely spark some competition. The kitchen is spacious with high-end appliances and a breakfast bar, and the dining table seats eight, which is perfect for group dinners or takeout.
The primary bedroom has a king bed, a private deck with mountain views, and an ensuite with a soaking tub and double sinks. The guest bedrooms have flexible layouts with split kings and twins, so you can mix couples and solo travelers. And everyone gets their own bathroom! A huge win for a mixed group trip.
You're ski-in ski-out via Adams Avenue and a short walk to Fanny Hill. Close to the action, private enough to unwind.

Let’s be honest—most ski trips are full of energy. Early mornings, packed days, and nonstop fun. But sometimes, you’re craving something different: a little quiet, a slower pace, and maybe even a touch of romance.
Residence #13 is a 2-bedroom, 3-bath remodeled unit that sleeps up to six, but it's perfect for two people to escape and relax. The master suite has a king bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has twin beds as a bonus.
The living area is cozy with a fireplace and comfortable seating. The kitchen has everything you need for a private dinner. There's a washer and dryer, luxury linens, and a private entrance. Mountain views that feel serene and secluded, even though you're close to the village.
Picture this: morning coffee with snow falling outside. A long ski day with no agenda. Then back to your condo, where the fire's going, and the only decision is what to open.

Remy joined the Ski.com crew in 2023 but has been chasing powder since she could walk. Her dad was on ski patrol at Copper Mountain, so she grew up on skis and eventually switched to snowboarding—because, you know, rebellion. Before joining the marketing team, she worked at Northstar in Tahoe for many years doing a little bit of everything, from lift ops to hotel check-ins.
These days, she loves combining her mountain obsession with storytelling to help others plan epic ski trips. Off the clock, you’ll find her doing aerial circus, hunting down good food, or catching up with friends. Après pick: fries and a cold beer.
