Skiing Keystone

Every level of skier will find their own section of the mountain to call their own. Beginners will love the “learning area” off of the Ranger chairlift, as well as all the green runs off of River Run Gondola. Children of all levels, will squeal with delight in Keystone’s many Kidventure Zones, which are fun, zippy tree trails and mini-themed camps. Intermediate skiers will find they can ski all three of the lift-accessed mountains, but the best blue trails are to be found off of the River Run Gondola, with epic, sustained cruisers like Frenchman and Irishman. Expert skiers and boarders have nearly 50 percent of Keystone’s 3,000 acres to themselves, and can enjoy moguls, glades, steeps and small chutes. Powderhounds will delight in all the snowcat-accessed terrain off of Independence Mountain and Wapiti Peak.

Night Skiing at Keystone

Just a great ski trip overall!

Lucky to have the 3-feet snow storm right before our visit (and getting out of Denver before it happened!), the snow was awesome. The week of Feb. 7 - 14 was an excellent time to be there with short lift lines and not very crowded restaurants. And all the Keystone staff were very friendly and helpful.

Keystone is charming !

Keystone is a charming community . There are lots of activities for children and adults. The villages have great restaurants and shopping. Lots within walking distance . Tubing was a blast - make a reservation !

lovely condo

We enjoyed the entire occassion. The resort is the prettiest and all resturants are great. The transport back and forth to airport was nice. The condo was excellent, clean and updated. Getting the lift tickets was a breeze. We will be back.

Mardi Gras 2019

Our trip was so much fun! During the week there was no line for the lifts and the slips were not packed which was so enjoyable. Friday was a little more packed but the resort still had everything running smoothly.

Bucket List......

It was my first time out west and to Colorado EVER. This has been on my bucket list for years..... Finally I got to go!!!! It was just an amazing trip!!! OMG! First tracks Friday...AHHHHHH..... amazeballs!! The condo was warm and inviting, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The food and the all the places to eat, drink, shop were at our fingertips. The ski rentals were walking distance and the staff was so good to us. All they wanted to do was give us the best experience possible, and they succeeded. Fav places were Inxpot-amazing coffee and whiskey, 9280 Taphouse-delicious beers, the gas firepits in the courtyard, the hot tubs and sauna, Spoon Cafe-great burgers, Kickapoo Tavern-amazing fish tacos, and the best homemade guac! LOVE! I want to go back.... We thoroughly enjoyed every moment we had there.

Great ski resort

Resort is so convenient; has great runs, and wasn't crowded on a Sunday afternoon or during the week. Check in was a breeze.

Keystone was surprisingly a great mountain

We decided to go to Keystone this year because we got a very favorable price. We anticipated that the skiing would be pretty good and were surprised to find a very impressive mountain with a number of challenging runs. We were particularly impressed with the tree runs/glades. We found that the variety and extent of tree runs was better than Breck and Vail. While Breck and Vail have more difficult terrain in general than Keystone, we found Keystone to be a lot of fun and we needed 4 days to ski all of Keystone.

Keystone was the first resort I ever visited out West for night skiing and what a blast it was! Since that time they have added an adventure park at the top of the River Run lift. It has its own conveyor lift! If you choose to try tubing, be prepared to laugh until your sides hurt. It's really fun. While you are on the mountain be sure to schedule some time to visit the huge ice castle with ice sculptures inside on Dercum Mountain. There is so much to do at Keystone, even for experts. There are even snow cat trips that you can take to ski or snowboard untracked powder. My favorite places to stay in Keystone are River Run, The Springs, The Timbers and Lone Eagle. All are well located and really nice. I have had a couple of incredible meals at the Keystone Ranch, which is located in the original ranch homestead. It is well worth the extra expense to dine there. (It's a bit pricey.) Call or email me today and let's discuss a package to Keystone!
