Three Days of Summer Charm at the Park City Peaks Hotel
Written by Cat Iwanchuk - Director of Supplier Relations
When you envision Park City, you likely picture snow-draped slopes and a winter wonderland. However, it should be no surprise that Park City, and the lovely Park City Peaks Hotel, is a hidden gem even in the summer months. I recently enjoyed three enchanting nights there, and here’s why you should consider it as well.
Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation
Upon entering the Park City Peaks Hotel, I was welcomed by a warm, rustic charm that seamlessly blends modern comfort with mountain coziness. After a smooth check-in, I made my way to my room, which offered stunning views of the surrounding mountains. My first day was dedicated to relaxation, beginning with a refreshing dip in the hotel's heated indoor/outdoor pool, followed by a soothing soak in the hot tub—setting the perfect tone for a truly rejuvenating getaway.
For dinner, I visited the local favorite, Versante Hearth + Bar. Their renowned Brussels sprouts are a must-try, and the wood-fired pizzas are sure to please any crowd.
Day 2: Adventure and Exploration
Waking up to a complimentary breakfast buffet provides the perfect opportunity for a quick bite before venturing into the outdoor playground that Park City offers in the summer. With coffee in hand, I wandered along scenic trails that wind through lush landscapes and vibrant wildflowers, leading me straight to Main Street Park City. This pathway not only offers breathtaking views but also serves as a tranquil way to appreciate the area's natural beauty. The leisurely stroll brought me to charming Main Street, alive with unique shops, art galleries, and cozy cafés, just in time for lunch!
The extended summer days gave me the chance to spend the afternoon enjoying Park City Mountain. I raced down the mountain coaster, squealed with delight as I glided around each curve on the alpine slide, and soared through the air on the exhilarating flying eagle zip line.
Day 3: Culture and Cuisine
On my last full day, I immersed myself in the local culture. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Park City Museum, exploring the town's rich history from its mining origins to its Olympic legacy. In the afternoon, I packed a bag and set off for a hike, treating myself to a drink and a bite at High West Distillery, the famous ski-in, ski-out bar.
The evening was a delightful experience, enjoying a free concert in town under cotton candy skies, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the mountains—a perfect way to conclude my stay.
Departure: Mountain Rejuvenation
I had the privilege of previewing the upcoming renovations before checking out. The rooms will undergo a transformation, featuring larger bathrooms, thoughtful enhancements, and the same mid-century modern rustic charm. Additionally, the lobby will be opened up to create a light and airy welcome.
The friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and abundance of summer activities made my stay unforgettable. If you're seeking a getaway that blends relaxation, adventure, and a touch of history, Park City Peaks Hotel should be at the top of your list for both summer and winter escapes.
