We’re thrilled to announce the kick off of the travel period of Ski.com’s Epic Dream Job. See press release for more details >>

Stowe, Vt. has transformed beautifully over the years from its first Winter Carnival in 1921 to its present day modern chairlifts and amenities, solidifying its place as one of the most sought-after ski destinations in the East. Stowe is not only one of the most high-end Vermont ski resorts, with a variety of upscale lodging options, including one of the world’s most eco-friendly hotels, but it’s also incredibly accessible. Stowe is just a 45-minute drive from Burlington International Airport. It’s also a top spot for powder hounds, as Stowe received 330+” annually, which competes with some of the best resorts in the West for snowfall. If, by chance, Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate, Stowe Mountain Resort has it covered, literally. Nearly 90 percent of the slopes have snowmaking.

Jackson Lebsack’s first stop in an 18-destination, two-month tour de world assignment for Ski.com’s Epic Dream Job has completed. On Friday, January 4, Lebsack and Ski.com’s CMO, Dan Sherman arrived in Burlington via United Airlines, and set out to experience and document the best of Stowe Mountain Resort and the idyllic town of Stowe, Vt.

Jackson’s List of the Best Things about Stowe:

  1. Skiing and filming on Stowe Mountain Resort after a snow storm

  2. Snapping classic shots of the Mt. Mansfield Gondola

  3. Strolling around Stowe’s charming New England streets

  4. Tasting Vermont’s famous Cabot cheddar cheese. Yum!

  5. Capturing Ski.com CMO Dan Sherman sampling local suds at Alchemist brewery

  6. Nabbing stunning aerial photos and videos of the town of Stowe and the surrounding countryside

  7. Visiting Ben and Jerry’s factory in Waterbury, Vt.

“Stowe gave me such a warm welcome, which makes me even more excited to embark on this journey chasing snow and visiting some of the world’s best ski destinations available on the Epic Pass,” says Lebsack.

Next up, Lebsack and Sherman fly via United to Milan, rent a car and drive to Madonna di Campiglio (Stop 2) in the Italian Dolomites.
