Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Treasury Specialist to join our Accounting team. This role goes beyond traditional accounts payable and requires strong reconciliation skills, international payments support and the ability to serve as a backup for critical cash management functions. Must have problem solving skills.

This position is in person in our Glenwood Springs, Colorado, office.

What You'll Do

• Process and verify all accounts payable transactions using accounting software such as Business Works and proprietary.
• Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely payments in accordance with contractual terms.
• Perform complex bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support and back up international and domestic payment processing, including wires and foreign currency transactions.
• Assist with cash management activities and maintain accurate cash records.
• Identify and implement process improvements within A/P and payment workflows.
• Partner with internal departments and external vendors to resolve issues.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and treasury functions.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounts payable or accounting experience
• Strong experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger interaction
• Familiarity with international payments, wire transfers and currency considerations preferred
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
