Saas Fee photo gallery

This well-preserved village is located in the Saas Valley at the foot of towering mountains and the Dom and Allalinhorn glaciers. Saas Fee is littered with original Bavarian architecture, chalets and inns; you can even see historic cow sheds. Similarly to Zermatt, Saas Fee doesn’t allow cars in its village, which many families like for safety reasons and many others feel is a welcomed break from the usually hubbub. Yet, despite its Old World-feel Saas Fee has some incredible modern services, including the world’s highest subway, the Alpin Metro, at 11,483 feet.  Saas Fee is also home to the world’s highest revolving restaurant, Threes!xty, which offers dinners a noteworthy meal and epic 360-degree views of the famed neighboring peaks: Weissmies, Nadelhorn and the Lenzspitze. A stacked list of off-piste activities is sure to pique everyone’s fancy. Non-skiing activities include winter hiking trails, a toboggan run, ice skating rink, curling, and a large indoor swimming pool with whirlpools, gym and saunas. Party-goers and those in search of some lighthearted evening entertainment will be pleased with Saas Fee’s après-ski excitement.

Saas Fee Ski Resort

The Saas Fee skiing certainly has a little something for every skier, but families and intermediate skiers have the most options thanks to a world-renowned ski school and a lot of blue and red runs. Experts have a lot of off-piste, glacial routes to choose from, but a guide is recommended.  Boasting a terrain park since 1996, snowboarders and freestyle fanatics will be more than happy on a Saas Fee ski vacation.

The majority of Saas Fee skiing is located on a Northern aspect, combined with Saas Fee’s high elevation, and you’ve got some of the most reliable snow conditions in the Alps. A Saas Fee ski vacation is a great option for earl or late-season ski trips. Plus, the glacier is open most of the year.

Saas Fee may be a little harder to get to, but it is so worth it. This charming, picturesque village sits at the base of some of the higher mountains in the Alps.

Like Zermatt, Saas Fee is a car free village, but on a much smaller scale. This makes it easier and safer for families to get around. The historic village still has a lot of the historic sheds perched on granite boulders, which add to the charm. We walked to dinner at a wonderful fondue restaurant in a cabin in the woods here - loved it!

The skiing is great, and with north-facing slopes and glaciers, they can offer skiing year round with good snow conditions for those early or late season trips.

The views here are amazing, and they have a lot of other activities to offer for non-skiers, like slegging (sledding), ice skating, curling and more. Saas Fee also has the world's highest revolving restaurant on the mountain, which is something even the non-skiers can enjoy. I am looking forward to sending more clients here!
