Steamboat Resort has announced plans to extend its 2023-24 ski season until April 21, 2024 allowing skiers and riders to enjoy fun on the slopes through spring. The resort shared the news on Facebook, stating, “Hold onto your helmets — we’ve hit the snooze button on closing day! Now skiing and riding until April 21.” This decision comes as the resort celebrates a snowy season, with 250 inches of snow reported as of the announcement.

This extension follows a similar move from the previous year when Steamboat Resort also prolonged its ski season due to exceptional snowfall, closing on April 16 after receiving 400 inches of snow. Notably, prior to the winter of 2022-23, the resort had not extended its season by a week or more since 1993.

By extending the ski season, Steamboat Resort aims to provide guests with more opportunities to enjoy the pristine slopes and abundant snowfall.
