Jackson Hole announced yesterday that they will be hosting an all-new freeskiing competition on Jan. 31−Feb. 4, 2018: Kings & Queens of Corbet’s. And, yes, the world’s best male and female skiers and snowboarders will be testing their mettle on North America’s most renowned run: Corbet’s Couloir.

With Jackson Hole’s famous tram passing by every 10 minutes, Corbet’s Couloir is one of the most visible lines on the mountain, which also makes for great spectating from a bird’s eye perspective.

The competitors will be peer judged via film following the contest, based on speed, commitment, degree of difficulty, innovative and progressive maneuvers and control and “stomped” landings.
