Where’s the best skiing right now? Of course the answer is subjective. Some may claim the Northeast has the best skiing right now after several storms dropped a few feet on East Coast ski resorts. We’ve received reports that British Columbia is skiing great, and we’ve been tracking recent storms in the Alps that have drastically improved skiing conditions.
But the ski resort that may have the best skiing right now is Jackson Hole. Jackson has received consistent snowfall throughout the winter and hit the 100-inch mark back in early December. This week, the resort passed 265 inches of total snowfall for the season, and we have a man on the slopes who can attest that current conditions are all-time.
“The energy in Jackson yesterday was infectious,” said Dan Sherman, vice president of marketing at Ski.com. “Powder skiing is always good for the soul, and everyone on the mountain yesterday was clearly feeling it.”
Dan seems to be in good standing with the snow gods. He also scored incredible conditions on his annual trip to Jackson Hole last March, arriving just as the resort hit 400 inches of snowfall for the season. The official season-snowfall tally for Jackson Hole is at 269 inches, and February is off to a snowy start with the most recent storm dropping 31 inches. As you can see in the ski resort’s new video and recent photos (below), there are some very happy skiers in Wyoming right now.
