The age-old debate about one plank or two has separated skiers and snowboarders for decades. On snow, skiers came first, but board riders have led the innovation curve for many activities including surfing and stand-up paddle boarding (SUP).

Until recently, if you’ve been looking to cool off with a surf or paddle, you’ve been limited to a board. That’s not the case any longer! In recent years, we’ve seen daring skiers bring their two-planked set-ups to tow-in surfing sites, and just this week, we learned of a new company making stand-up paddle skis for “river skiing.”

While variety might be the spice of life, there are purists out there who contend that some sports are meant for skis and some are meant for boards. Check out the videos below and weigh in with your comments at the bottom of this post.
