EPIC PASS VS. IKON PASS | COMPARE & FIND YOUR PERFECT PASS

To begin, not all Ikon Passes are created equally. The Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, and Ikon Session Pass have different levels of benefits that apply to different ski resorts and mountain destinations at different times. So figuring out which applies to you and when is paramount to taking advantage of your pass.

UNLIMITED ACCESS, BLACKOUT DATES, AND PARTNER RESORTS

Alterra Mountain Company continues to expand its pass offerings to include some of the best skiing in the world via its Ikon and Ikon Base, and Ikon Session passes. Obviously, the full Ikon Pass includes more expansive access when compared to its more affordable counterparts. That said, the Ikon Base also offers some amazing destinations, albeit with blackout dates*.

Here’s the general breakdown… (Those renewing their Ikon Pass are granted access to discounted, season pass renewal rates)  

$999 – IKON PASS – Unlimited access to 15 mountain resorts, unlimited 7-day access at 28 mountain resorts across the globe. 

$879 – IKON BASE PASS PLUS – Unlimited access to 14 mountain resorts, 5-day access at 26 mountain resorts (includes Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Aspen Snowmass) across the globe with blackout dates*.

$729 – IKON BASE PASS – Unlimited access to 13 mountain resorts and 5-day access at 28 mountain resorts across the globe with blackout dates*.

$399 – IKON SESSION PASS – 4-day access to 37 destinations with blackout dates.

Nurses, College, and Military Discounts

From front-line workers to those who serve our country in the armed forces, The Ikon Pass offers discounts for three key demographics: Military, College, and Nurses. Active military, front-line healthcare workers, and those attending college can access the following price levels.

  • Ikon Pass:$719 USD
  • Ikon Base Pass:$549 USD
  • Ikon Session Pass 4-Day:$339 USD

It’s admirable whenever a product and the community it serves get behind a common, humanitarian cause. COVID – 19 Policies – 3/10/2021

For the 20-21 season, Ikon Pass holders will mostly be free of reservations except for at certain limited partner resorts like Jackson Hole, Winter Park, Big Sky, Aspen Snowmass, and Arapahoe Basin to name a few. Many of those resorts are also pausing all day-ticket sales to make sure there is adequate space at Alterra Mountain resorts for Ikon Pass holders. ADVENTURE ASSURANCE [21/22]

Pass Deferral: A pass holder may elect to defer their 21/22 season pass to the following season at no additional cost. The decision to defer must be made prior to 12/9/21 and the pass must have remained unused.

Closure Credits: If your vacation or plants to visit the mountains are interrupted by a COVID-19 related ski resort closure, passholders will be granted credits towards their future Ikon Pass purchase.
