When traveling to the mountains, there are tell-tale signs that the trip is about to take a turn for the deep end. In Jackson Hole, one of the signs locals know by heart is the audible blasts that come rolling down the mountain as ski patrol works to make the mountain safe for the public.

At times, these avalanche bombs have the power to shake the walls and wake those sleeping in their slope-side condos. Think of it as a sort of powder-filled, explosive alarm clock.

For day #1 of the Ski.com Dream Job at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, new hires Aaron Macrae and Matt Chick (@therollingvan) were blessed to wake up to such a bombing and they immediately knew– it was going to be a good day.  For these two world-class content creators from Quebec, the experience was a first and they couldn’t be happier to revel in the goodness that is deep powder.

Thanks to their guide Beau, they found plenty of the goods and wanted to report that it’s only getting deeper in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
