When skiers think of quintessential Colorado ski towns, Breckenridge is often what comes to mind. A Main Street lined with locally owned shops, cafes and restaurants. Vacation rentals and lodges with ski-in ski-out access. A ski mountain with steep slopes, bunny hills and every type of terrain in between.
It’s a vacation-worthy destination, and, naturally, one of the highlights of any ski trip is where you stay. Breckenridge is home to a wide range of properties fit for every type of skier. So whether you spend all day planning apres or are a family focused on easy access to and from beginner terrain, Ski.com’s team of Mountain Travel Experts shared the best rentals for you and your ski group.
Not only have these Experts explored every inch of Breckenridge’s slopes, but they’ve slept in these rentals’ beds, warmed up by their fireplaces and chatted with bartenders during après. They know the mountain, and they’re excited to share their insider tips as they help you plan your Breckenridge ski vacation.

Our Experts said two places come to mind for early risers seeking first lifts and fresh tracks. One Ski Hill Place, a RockResort, sits at the base of Peak 8. The spacious condos are just steps from the BreckConnect Gondola, which brings skiers to Peak 7. It’s ideal for ski-focused vacationers, but the perks of One Ski Hill Place extend far beyond its access to Breckenridge’s mountains. The property has a luxe feel with amenities that include hot tubs, a bowling alley, movie lounge, ski concierge and a spa.
Another great option for skiers and snowboarders planning to be the first on the mountain is the Beaver Run Resort. It’s a more affordable option than One Ski Hill Place, and the resort has its own chairlift, the Beaver Run SuperChair at the base of Peak 9. The lift takes skiers up to blue and black runs. From there, you can access the rest of Breckenridge’s 10 peaks.
Expert Tip: Reach out to a Mountain Travel Expert in advance since this property is often booked out.

If your ski vacation will focus on magic carpets, green runs and falling in love with skiing for the first time, The Village at Breckenridge is a great beginner resort. The condominium-style property is at the base of Peak 9, steps away from the Breckenridge Ski & Ride School. From The Village, skiers can also access the Quicksilver Superchair, an area teeming with green runs. For post-ski activities, it’s near the heart of Breckenridge with shops, restaurants, bars and ice skating all within walking distance.

With plenty of condominium-style resorts, Breckenridge has a lot to offer families. Our Experts’ top recommendations include Beaver Run Resort and Main Street Station. Beaver Run Resort is slopeside, which makes post-lesson naps and lunchtime breaks a breeze. Plus, the resort has multi-room suites and an on-site arcade with games like air hockey, ping pong, mini golf and Guitar Hero. For those looking for a budget-friendly option, Main Street Station is a great choice thanks to its close access to Breck’s downtown area and a short walk to the lifts.
As our Mountain Travel Expert Alyssa Davis put it, you’ve “got to stay in the nicest place if you're going to post about it.” That place, without a doubt, is One Ski Hill Place. The property is arguably Breckenridge’s most luxurious location with onsite restaurants, a spa, bowling alley, an indoor pool, steam rooms and a movie theater. Inside the condos, guests will find stunning views, full kitchens and cozy fireplaces.
Oh, and it’s ski-in ski-out, so if you do decide to leave, it’s an easy trip to the slopes.
Après options in Breck can feel endless. Beaver Run Resort is home of the Coppertop, while Main Street is teeming with lively bars. But the Grand Colorado on Peak 8 shines during après. The hotel has a ski-up cocktail bar called Robbie’s Tavern serving afternoon drinks and appetizers on a sunny deck. Upstairs, you’ll find an exclusive rooftop. Inside the property, skiers and snowboarders will discover a luxury hotel with amenities like fireplaces, slopeside pools and hot tubs and an onsite spa.

Mountain Travel Expert Andrew Goldman shared a warning to skiers booking at Pine Ridge Condos: “Spill your drink in the tub, and you may find yourself in a fluorescent one-piece with a Walkman.” These spacious condos were built in 1980, but today they’re updated with full kitchens, living areas and, of course, private hot tubs. There are over 50 private condos to choose from, with more budget-friendly rates.
Main Street Station, a resort-style condominium property, sits between the base of Peak 9 and historic Main Street. For vacationers not hitting the slopes, they can spend all day wandering through Breckenridge’s dozens of shops, bars, restaurants and galleries. Once they’ve spent a morning in town, they can take advantage of the property’s amenities, including an outdoor heated pool, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a eucalyptus steam room and a fitness room. It’s also great for skiers since the Quicksilver Lift is only 200 yards away.
