Copper Mountain is somewhat of a self-contained resort, which is nice for families. With everything—lodging, base village, shops and restaurants—conveniently located at the base of Copper Mountain, families will rejoice that all the guesswork surrounding coordinating ski school and equipment rentals has been take out of their ski vacation. Plus, Copper offers an overwhelming amount of off-mountain, family-friendly activities, like The Tubing Hill, Critterland for little ones and Woodward at Copper, families will never want to leave the base village.

To spread out a little and perhaps enjoy a meal or two at your unit together, families will want to stay at The Cirque condos. These condominiums offer an array of family-friendly amenities, including two outdoor heated pools, a hot tub, fitness center and ski lockers

    Copper Family Skiing

Copper Mountain has incredible family skiing. Its varied terrain caters to any and all skiers in your family. With green and blue runs amply dispersed all over the mountain, including at the summit, families have plenty of incredible photo opportunities.  Copper has a plethora of blue and green runs that run from the top to the bottom, allowing the whole family to ski together. Beginner families also have an ideal “learn to ski area” between the Gem surface lift (magic carpet) and the Pitchfork lift. Similarly expert families have plenty of steep, mogul runs to explore together, including Copper’s free cat-skiing off of Tucker Mountain.

    Copper Family Restaurants

Pizza is a no-brainer for most families, and Pizza Carlo’s is hands down the best place for a family meal. Not only because of the tasty gourmet pies, but because Carlo’s offers “Kids in the Kitchen” cooking class. The chef’s teach children how to make traditional pizza, as well as dessert pizza. Kids absolutely love the experience, and parents get to eat what the kids make (which is Chef-assisted, ensuring Carlo’s quality). For a nicer family meal, CB Grill is another easy decision. Parents will be pleasantly pleased with the more upscale menu items, and quality wine list, while kids will delight in their mac-n-cheese, pizza and burgers.
