In February 2015, we were on a quest to cure winter blues! We asked you to tell us what was ailing you for a chance to win the cure: a spring break ski trip in Breckenridge, Colorado.

Brad D. of Washington D.C. was drawn as the winner and embarked on his grand prize ski vacation in April with his daughter in tow. Their experience included a four-night stay at Mountain Thunder Lodge, two three-day lift tickets valid at Breckenridge and Keystone, two pairs of Smith goggles and two tickets to ride the Breckenridge Gold Runner Coaster.

Brad’s thoughts about his Breckenridge ski trip

“Thanks so much for that amazing Breckenridge trip. We went from April 3 through 7. The skiing was fantastic, and the Mountain Thunder Lodge is a topnotch facility.

“It was a nice bonus showing my daughter around a town where I spent three incredible years of my life back in the ’90s. Even though I won the trip, you can’t put a price on that type of thing.

“FYI – there’s still at least one fellow ski instructor left standing at Peak 8 kids ski school from more than 20 years ago when I taught there.

“It’s amazing how much Breck has changed since my last time there (2000). Peaks 6 and 7 were only accessible by foot back then, and there was no gondola.

“It’s gone from a great mountain to a world-class resort.”

Brad said the early-April snow conditions were very good.
