Many European resorts are getting excited for not one, but two winter storms descending along the northern Alps of Switzerland and Austria. According to wepowder, between nine and 40 inches could fall over the next six days throughout targeted areas.

Accumulation is starting off slow today but will intensify early Wednesday, bringing in at least 20 inches of powder in 24 hours. Going into next week, a second storm will be making its way from the north. This will bring additional inches to these resorts as well as potentially hitting the French Alps. Areas in the path of both winter weather events will experience blustery winds, which could mean deeper accumulations on specific mountain aspects.
