For more than 30 years, the hotel was run as a family business by Mirja and Paul Kronig-Aufdenblatten, and is now part of the Matterhorn Group. The Matterhorn Group is a company owned by Zermatt’s burgher community, and also operates the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof, the Riffelhaus 1853 and the 3100 Kulmhotel Gornergrat along with a number of restaurants in Zermatt. The new management is keen to ensure that our guests feel just as at home in the Continental as ever, and that they can even take advantage of new offers.
