Spectacular hotel with great service, stunning views
In the midst of the snow dump at Lake Tahoe, I found that my favorite place to stay was the Hyatt Regency. There is so much to do at the resort, you almost don't want to leave! There is a casino, multiple restaurants on site (check out the Lone Eagle Grille for fancy eats and the Cutthroat Saloon for casual dining!), a gorgeous spa and incredible views from the rooms. There are also a lot of outlets for all those devices, too!
When you check in, you're greeted with a glass of champagne and given some excellent info about the hotel and how to navigate it - something I really appreciated because there is so much to do at the Hyatt Regency! The staff was always very welcoming and helpful with whatever questions I had.
Be sure to request a room with a view - watching the sun rise above the snow-covered mountains from my bench by my window was a breathtaking highlight of this trip.
Don't forget to check out the pool and hot tubs, as well! A lagoon style heated pool and multiple hot tubs (one is family friendly, the other is adults only) was an excellent end to a long hard day on the slopes. And speaking of skiing: the Hyatt Regency has a complimentary shuttle service to both Diamond Peak and Northstar!
The Hyatt Regency is a fabulous choice for the discerning traveler who's looking to have it all: top notch service, comfortable rooms, and easy access to the slopes, spa and dining!

You know when you book a room at the Hyatt you'll be happy. This rings very true for the Hyatt Regency at Lake Tahoe. Upon check-in you'll be greeted with a friendly face and a glass of champagne.
The property is located right on the beach and during the summer you can experience luxury with private beach access, a lounge chair, cabanas and beach-front service to boot! If you need something larger than a hotel room, you can also get a 2-bedroom cottage. The property offers full spa services, a heated outdoor pool and hot tubs, a 24-hour casino and a few great restaurants - as well as a "grab and go" for breakfast or a quick bite.
During the winter, the Hyatt offers a rental shop on site for all of your ski/snowboard rental needs. There is also a free shuttle that will take you to and from Diamond Peak. If you're worried it's not ski in/ski out, don't be... it's only a 5 minute drive!
