A significant snow storm, which dropped 20 to 40 inches across most Colorado ski resorts, just happened to come on the perfect weekend for Winter Park skiers. The ski resort not only celebrated opening day on Saturday, Nov. 15, but the start of its 75th season. The resort’s diamond anniversary was made even better by the powdery conditions. By the time the storm swept through Colorado on Saturday, Winter Park received 21 inches.

Winter Park will be ringing in its 75th year in operation with the grand opening of the new 16,000-square-foot Lunch Rock lodge atop Mary Jane Territory, a 75th Anniversary Gala at the Sunspot, lodging deals (33% off), monthly food and drink discounts and the release of a limited-edition coffee table book chronicling the historic ski resort.
