Video: See what 4′ of fresh looks like on CB’s new Teocalli 2 terrain

Crested Butte Teo 2

Typically Colorado’s snowiest month, March has been good to Crested Butte and just about every other Colorado ski resort. Within the last two weeks, Crested Butte saw nearly four feet (45 inches) of new snowfall. The wintry bounty has incited many seasoned Crested Butte skiers and snowboarders to test out the goods on the resort’s newest expert playground: Teocalli 2 or “Teo 2,” which is located off of the Teocalli Bowl terrain. To get some beta on the new terrain and snow conditions, we caught up with two local experts.

“The Teo 2 expansion adds a multitude of new terrain, from playful glades to a wide-open pillow zone, ” said Edward Dujardin, a local pro-skier and blogger, who is an athlete featured in the video below.

“The new snow gave us an awesome base,” added Edward’s brother, William Dujardin, head freeride coach for the CBMR Mountain Sports Team and also a local blogger.

Watch the video below to get an idea for what it’s like to ski Teo 2 with nearly four feet of new snow.

Note: Teocalli 2 requires a 20-minute hike out at the bottom of the terrain, but our sources tell us the new snow and exciting new terrain make it well worth the effort.
