Colorado ski resorts extend closing day

Thanks to an extra foot of snow in the last week at many Colorado resorts, extended-season announcements are starting to trickle in. Aspen Snowmass, Keystone, Vail and Copper Mountain are among the first to report the good news, but we anticipate more announcements to come. Here are some more details on extended and closing-day dates.

Aspen Mountain | April 23

The official Aspen Mountain closing day will still be held on April 16, but the resort will stay open until April 23.

Beaver Creek | April 10

Breckenridge | April 23

Buttermilk | April 2

Crested Butte | April 9

Copper Mountain | April 16

Keystone | April 16

Thanks to nearly a foot of fresh in the past week, Keystone is extending their closing from April 9 to April 16, however the Slush Cup was held April 9.

Steamboat | April 16

Snowmass | April 16

Telluride | April 2

Vail | April 23

Vail is closing April 23 annual Spring Back to Vail closing-day celebrations and World Pond Skimming Championships will still be held April 16.

Winter Park | April 30

Winter Park proper will stop the bullwheel on April 23, but Mary Jane stays open until April 30.
