Situated between the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc, Verbier is home to more than just epic views. It’s the world capital of freeride or “big mountain” skiing and snowboarding, which means there’s no shortage of technical ridges, steeps, couloirs and chutes to explore. The terrain off of the 11,000-foot summit, Mont Fort, is particuarly spicy and will please challenge seekers, however a guide is highly recommended. Verbier is also part of the Four Valleys interconnected ski circuit, which includes Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon. Collectively skiers and riders have access to 90 lifts and 250 miles of ski runs, ensuring all stripes have terrain for them. Off-mountain the idyllic Swiss village offers an array of authentic and interesting restaurants, bars and shops.

Stop 4 of Ski.com’s Epic Dream Job was cut a little short, due to heavy snowfall and road closures at Stop 3 in St. Anton, but Jackson Lebsack still packed plenty of unforgettable experiences into the 48 hours he was in Verbier, Switzerland.  Like getting guided around by two Verbier snowboard legends and tasting all the delicious things that make Switzerland unique.
