Nobody has stepped up to the challenge of COVID-19 quite like our healthcare heroes. It’s these dedicated individuals who are saving our loved ones, friends, and all those we hold dear.

In order to attempt an expression of thanks, our team at Ski.com teamed up with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to give one lucky healthcare hero and a partner of their choosing a light at the end of the tunnel: an escape in Jackson Hole including lodging, lift tickets, equipment rentals, and one unforgettable experience.

After reading through countless, heartwarming and inspiring stories, we are happy to announce that Zoe, who was nominated by her father and mother, is the winner of the Healthcare Hero Giveaway. Zoe remains in the epicenter of the pandemic in New York City at Bellevue Hospital and has fought tirelessly on the frontlines. After contracting the virus herself and recovering, Zoe continued to go into the hospital every day, doing whatever she could for her patients. We are moved by her courage and strength and are honored to be able to give her this Jackson Hole experience.

Thanks to the cooperation of her very secretive parents, we surprised Zoe on her birthday by giving her the ultimate birthday present via FaceTime: an escape to the Tetons. After hearing the news, Zoe erupted with joy and the only people that matched her excitement were her very proud parents. We can’t wait to check in and see how her trip goes.

Zoe Letter Of Nomination:

“Zoe was in her third year of residency when COVID-19 hit NYC. She was at the epicenter of the outbreak and her hospital immediately converted all beds to ICU ready. She contracted the virus early on from treating patients, when little was known about how COVID-19 spread. After recovering, she was back to the ICU and has since spent all her time treating and caring for patients with the knowledge that there is still no cure. She continues to hold strong and goes in every day, doing whatever she can for her patients. She never lets her compassion and dedication falter.”

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all who were nominated and shared their stories.Â
