Every autumn dozens of industry reps from resorts, properties and more descend on Ski.com headquarters in Aspen, Colo. to update us on what’s new for the coming season. We sat down to chat with Kathy and Ben from Christy Sports and Door 2 Door Ski & Snowboard Rental Delivery, which offers gear rentals and delivery in California, Colorado, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. Here’s what they had to share:
Q&A with Kathy from Christy Sports
Q: What’s new at Christy Sports for 2015-16?
A: Christy Sports is opening a new location in Steamboat, Colorado that is located at the corner of Apres Ski Way and Village Drive. In Crested Butte, Colorado, Christy Sports bought Flat Iron Sports located at the base area in Mt. Crested Butte.
Q: What makes your properties unique or different from other ski rental companies?
A: Christy Sports is a family-owned business. Guests are able to rent at one location and return at any Christy Sports store, and if they used Door 2 Door, guests have the option of swapping out gear and returning at a Christy Sports location or using the full Door 2 Door services. Christy Sports is one company, not franchises, so you are not dealing with individual owners and inventories.
