Great Time

pretty sweet
Winter Park is a great resort with terrain for everyone. There is a lot to do besides skiing, the restaurants are good and the town has all of the traditional ski town amenities for reasonable prices.

Winter Park was GREAT!!!
5.0
excellent
The resort is great. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help. the private classes are great, worth every penny if you are a first timer. Resort is clean and well maintained. The trails varied widely, so if you have different skill levels in your group this is a great resort. The price of this resort is extremely reasonable and one of the cheapest in colorado. Even though the price is low, that does not mean the resort is low quality. The mary jane restuarnt was really cool. The food was good and it had good atomosphere.

Best variety at Winter Park
5.0
excellent
Our extended adult family had a wonderful time at Winter Park. We have a wide range of skiing skills from novice to expert and all found many different runs to please our needs. Snow conditions were excellent and getting into the ski area is much easier than pricier areas (Vail, Aspen). The best value in Colorado.

We loved Winter Park

Great resort! We were there for 4 days, and never got to ski all the slopes. Great variety of slopes for skiers and boarders. Incredibly beautiful views from slopes and from the lodges. Lines go very quickly - never had to wait more than 5 minutes, and we were there during Christmas break.

I loved Winter Park

excellent
Had a great time. Weather and conditions were very good. Beaver Village Condos are on the bus route and the buses run on schedule and make it easy to get to and from mountain. If some in your party want to go home early it makes it easy. Rented skis through the demo shop and they were great at helping me pick the right ski for the right conditions. Staff at Winter Park was friendly and relaxed, even when it was busy. Condo unit was awesome - newly renovated and clean with everything we needed.

Love Winter Park

excellent
Went to WP in December 2010 and absolutely loved it. No lift lines, wide open trails, great friendly staff. Excellent diversity of trails and toms of skiable terrain. I can't wait to go back! Definitely seemed to be a locals mountain - doesn't get the same congestion as some of the more well known spots in Colorado.
We stayed at the Olympia Lodge which was a great, cheap place to stay in downtown Winter Park.

Great Mountain
5.0
excellent
This was my first time skiing at a mountain this large and it was better than I expected. One the shuttle to the resort, several people told me the skiing was better than Aspen and Vail. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but I believe it is probably better for the price.
The Winter Park village at the bottom of the slopes closes down way too early. Fortunately, the resort offers a free shuttle to the town of Winter Park and Frasier, so you are able to get to restaurants and bars later in the evening.
The best deal we found on the mountain was the pizza place in the basement at Mary Jane. It was $3 per slice which is much cheaper than any other food options on the mountain.
We stayed at Fraser Crossing and, from what we heard, it is the best place to stay. The hot tub on the 3rd floor is extremely large with great views of the moutain. The rooms are also more updated from what we heard.
Finally, booking through ski.com was the best choice we could have made. My friend flew in from a different airport and met me in Denver. His return flight was bumped up from 9:30pm to 7:00pm which would obviously get in the way of our last day of skiing. Marcella was able to find a very reasonable flight later in the evening so that we could enjoy our last day there. I will definitly be booking through ski.com in the future since they were able to put together a cheaper package at a better hotel (we were going to pay more for the Vintage hotel) and they come through when last minute changes are needed such as our flight.
