Nokota is centrally situated in the Wildhorse Meadows neighborhood. Thus, the fitting name – ‘Nokota’ is a wild horse breed that roams the Badlands of North Dakota. But your group won’t have to roam far, as there is something close for everyone with easy access to the ski slopes, bike trails, tennis and pickleball center, downtown Steamboat, and a community outdoor pool.

Located at the base of Steamboat Ski Area, The Lodge at Steamboat is a local landmark, providing an idyllic mountain-side retreat for winter and summer time guests. Mountain High Chalet is conveniently located to the Thunderhead Express high-speed quad lift with easy access provided by regular, complimentary shuttle service. The hand shaped logs are beautifully finished and provide a cozy living area centered in front of the stone fireplace. The Great Room with high ceiling and loft shows off the fine craftsmanship involved in the construction of the chalet. Mountain High Chalet offers 3 charming bedrooms and baths in the main house and a detached apartment garage with fireplace, bath and kitchenette. The kitchen in the main house is fully equipped. The dining table will comfortably seat eight guests for an elegant dinner setting as the alpenglow lights up the mountain. The outside decks offer one of the most spectacular views of the area with a 180-degree view down the valley to the Flat Top Mountains and up to the Steamboat Ski Area. This is same view that you can enjoy from the hot tub on the lower deck. Please note this home is located in a mountainside neighborhood which gives you spectacular views all around. In winter the road is plowed regularly but 4WD and snowtires/chains are essential if you intend to bring a car. If it snows (which it does a lot) you will need to pay attention in the driveway which is steep and without guardrails.
