I like summer as much as the next guy and, frankly, I’m sad to notice the days getting shorter while knowing the leaves are going to start changing any day. Thank god for the ski industry! Speaking of Facebook, I noticed the other day that my friend Spencer, the sales manager for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, posted a picture of himself holding Powder Magazine’s 2010 buyer’s guide. His childish grin was reminiscent of an 11-year-old birthday boy’s. Like me, Spencer would probably like to buy the majority of the things featured, but I’m sure he will have to do some serious begging before his wife green lights any purchases. Either way, just reading these types of things puts us in that mountain mindset we crave.

As I mentioned last week, at Ski.com we couldn’t be more ready for the season and for you.
