If you’ve read even a few of these newsletters, you can probably tell by now that I LOVE skiing. Actually, I love the mountains and everything they offer. I came to this realization once again over the weekend when I saw that the resorts in South America were starting to receive their first significant snowfalls of the early season, about a month before their scheduled opening dates. Like many of you, I recently stored my skis for the winter. (Storage for me = Volkl Gotamas and Black Diamond Megawatts flanking my desk and offering daily reminders of good times had and good times to come.) However, when I saw pictures from South America, I got that overpowering feeling of excitement normally reserved for Septemberish when we’re almost ready to start skiing in North America.
