Many of you spent at least some time over the weekend watching skiers and riders like Shaun White, Peter Olenick, Kevin Rolland, Bobby Brown and Gretchen Bleiler kill it in Aspen. What a great competition and an unbelievable preview of what's to come in Vancouver later this month. Did you know that the site of the X Games is pretty much right across the street from our Aspen, Colorado headquarters? The energy could be felt through the Ski.com hallways and, I'm sure, all the way down the valley.

Then, in the wake of the X Games, another storm rolled through and hit parts of the Rockies on Sunday night. As of yesterday morning, Jackson Hole received 18 inches of “Cowboy Powder” and I was lucky enough to experience its epicness. After hiking the Headwall, I found myself literally neck deep in snow (see the photo above). It was by far the deepest snow I've ever experienced and probably the best morning I've ever had skiing. Unbelievable! Parts of Utah also received about a foot and Europe continues to roll with 48-hour totals over the weekend of more than 40 inches.
