Hotel Terrace

Set in the majestic Swiss Alps, Hotel Terrace was built in 1903 and provides fantastic Art Nouveau interiors and exteriors that is just as lovely today as it was more than 110 years ago. Situated on the south-facing slope in Engelberg, the hotel is just a short lift ride from the village center as well as the bus stop for the free skier shuttle to the cable-car station. The Hotel Terrace features 170 rooms, and configurations include double standard, three-bed rooms, standard plus a double room and multi-bed rooms. Room amenities include 32-inch flat-screen TV, radio, free WLAN and safe. Some rooms have a balcony or offer a spectacular mountain view. After cold, refreshing winter’s day, nothing compares to relaxing at Hotel Terrace’s sauna or steam room. There’s no need to worry about restaurant reservations when staying at Hotel Terrace, as the onsite Bell Epoque serves up a gourmet three-course buffet including house wine. Guests can also enjoy a traditional fondue dinner at the onsite “Cave” cheese cellar.

Hotel Bellevue Terminus

The first major phase of renovations at the Hotel Bellevue-Terminus, which first opened in 1898, was completed between May and November 2011. The south wing with previously 57 rooms was completely gutted and has been replaced with a contemporary interior. The building services and all the safety requirements are now once again state-of-the-art. The acoustics have also been taken into account with a five- layer floor structure, and the thermal insulation boosted with triple-glazed windows. But it’s not just the interior design that’s a talking point – the look of the rooms is just a s eye-catching. In the Hotel ’s new rooms the Belle Epoque style has been combined with modern elements and in some cases entirely re-interpreted
