If you are ready for the ultimate vacation, stay at the Stein Eriksen Lodge! Yes, it is expensive, but it is definitely worth it. As soon as you arrive, your ski equipment is whisked to the ski locker room. Every morning the ski locker attendants place your skis on the snow outside the locker room and help you with your boots, if desired. You can ski directly to Deer Valley's Sterling lift. At the end of the day, they put your skis in the locker and your boots on the dryer (then into the locker). The breakfast buffet (included in the price) kept us skiing until late afternoon. There was a specialty Eggs Benedict each day in addition to pastries, fruit, maple bacon, potatoes, you-name-it. The rooms are beautifully appointed and all have excellent views. The outdoor hot-tub and heated pool can be accessed through the Spa. If you don't want to walk outside in your robe and slippers (supplied), you can walk through the heated garage. If you want more than a soak, many other spa services are available. If you ever want to leave the property, there is a complimentary shuttle down to Park City. It leaves the lodge every half hour. Just call from anywhere in town and they will pick you up. Tips are appreciated, of course. We didn't see Stein himself although he resides there in the winter. He can definitely be proud of his lodge!
