Re: gloves

I hear GREAT things about Black Diamond gloves, but haven't tried them myself yet.

Re: gloves
black diamond work great! I have a pair I use for mountaineering and they keep me warm, even at 0 degrees. I think they're the glissade model, I can't remember for sure.

Re: gloves

While there are many gloves that might fit your needs to give you a narrowed down list it is important for me to understand what exactly you are looking for and why.  If you are looking for thin because you hate the feeling of a bulky glove that is one thing but if you need a thin glove because you are working with your hands and using your fingers that will lead us to another glove.  Warmth and waterproofing have similar issues.  Are you in a very cold climate, using the gloves in a variety of conditions so want one glove to suit many situations?  Are you in a wet climate and need a glove that will stay warm in damp, humid conditions?  Or is it that your hands get very cold in all conditions.  You can see there are many ways to look at the issues - so let me know if you are still looking for the right glove for you and I will be happy to help you walk through some of the details.  In the mean time check out the gloves at The Jib Shop, they have a wide selection of Grenade and DaKine gloves or Ski Warehouse , they also carry gloves from Spyder, Hestra, Marker and others.

Re: gloves
I too am looking for a new pair of gloves.  I always tend to get the best deal and not what I really need.  I'm looking for a quality pair for skiing in Colorado.  My hands get cold easily especially on the chair lifts.  I'd like a glove that is waterproof that will keep my hands warm, especially the tips of my fingers.  I usually have to halfway take off the gloves and curl my fingers into a ball in order to defrost them when I'm sitting on the chair lift.  I've been reading up on Black Diamond gloves and they seem decent, specifically the Renegade model.  Is that sufficient or do I have to go up the ladder on this model to get a glove that is sure to keep my fingers warm?  Also open to any other competitors that will meet my needs.  Thanks in advance!
