We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath unit that had obviously been redone (appently it was for sale b/c a realators lock box was on the door) and it was very nice. Granite counter tops, new appliances, new carpet, nice leather couch. We saw two other units as friends stayed there as well and neither was as nice as this. All were a little different and the one that was on the ground floor with the slopes was a little bigger and had a huge deck from which you could walk onto the 4 o'clock run. From any unit you can ski down a short distance, walk across ski hill road and get on the Snowflake lift to begin your ski day. There is a ski rental place right there as well where you can rent any equipment you need and they gave us a 20% discount for staying in Tyra. Then at the end of the ski day (or lunch time if you wish) you ski down the 4 o'clock run right to Tyra. Convenience to skiing. AAA+++! There is a small heated indoor pool and 2 very small hot tubs, one indoor and one outdoor. We sat elbow to elbow in both of the two as this was spring break and everywhere you went was quite crowded. I would definitely stay I Tyra again with my family, though I don't think we will be returning during spring break. Crowds were awful: Monday was the worst day and all lifts (except Imperial Express and the Tbar which only serve black runs) were packed. I'm talking 30 minute lift lines. I can wait in lines at home, I'm here to ski! Restaurants - most on main street were packed every night and the nights we ate out, long waits were everywhere. Parking in town...rough. You can take a shuttle provided as part of the condo package and they were timely, helpful and convenient in our experience.
