Judging from the photos of November snow we’ve seen recently (see below), we thought Whistler was looking primed for ski season. Yesterday Whistler Blackcomb announced that Whistler Mountain will open this Saturday, Nov. 16, a full 13 days earlier than its scheduled opening on Nov. 28. Blackcomb will open on Nov. 28 as scheduled.
Thanks to cold temperatures, impressive snow-making capabilities and lots of natural snowfall, Whistler Mountain will be operating five lifts, and skiers and riders can upload from Whistler Village Gondola or Creekside Gondola.
