As Coloradoans, we’re filled with immense pride that the Denver Broncos will take the field on Superbowl Sunday next weekend. Sharing the excitement, ski resorts across the state have voiced their support for our home football team, and Telluride ski resort produced one of the most thrilling videos backing our beloved Broncos.

The video starts with a local Telluride cowboy named Roudy riding into the New Sheridan Hotel bar on horseback to collect the Broncos flag. Roudy and his posse carry the flag down Main Street, with Ajax Peak and Bridal Veil Falls looming in the background. They circle around to the Telluride/Mountain Village Gondola where the flag climbs to the San Sophia Station and is handed off to freeskier Walter Max Kvale. Walter flies through the Hoot Brown terrain park, letting the fresh Colorado air whip through the symbolic standard. Next, the Telluride Ski Patrol intercepts the flag and heads to Gold Hill. Patrollers hike from the top of Revelation Bowl to the summit of the 13,320-foot Palmyra Peak where they place the flag atop a rocky outcropping, overlooking the dramatic San Juan Mountains.

While many resorts could have produced similarly stunning tributes to the Broncos, Telluride has some of the most amazing scenery in the state and the highest concentration of 13,000 and 14,000-foot peaks in North America. Their homage to the Denver Broncos is first-rate, and we hope Peyton and his players feel the support from Ski Country this weekend.
