Every autumn dozens of industry reps from resorts, properties and more descend on Ski.com headquarters in Aspen, Colo. to update us on what’s new for the coming season. We sat down to chat with Rebeckah from Whitewater Ski Resort, and here’s what she had to share:

Q&A with Rebeckah from Whitewater Ski Resort

Q: What’s new at Whitewater for 2015-16?
A: We have a new spa at the Hume Hotel, a new base-area yurt, a new barbecue shack at the top of summit for special events, beginner-only lift tickets for the Silver King chair and new high-performance gear rentals from Rossignol and Armada. Wednesdays are now Ladies’ Day! For events, we have the tenth anniversary of the Kootenay Coldsmoke Powder Fest and the resort’s 40th anniversary celebration Jan. 15.

Q: What makes Whitewater Ski Resort unique or different from other resorts?
A: Whitewater has a community feel, no crowds, homemade, fresh meals and an average of 40 feet of snow annually.

Q: In your opinion, what are the top three reasons skiers and snowboarders return year after year to Whitewater Ski Resort?
A: The snow, the people and Kootenay hospitality and the food!

Q: What’s the No. 1 reason your resort partners with Ski.com year in and year out?
