Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. With 4 bedrooms and a bonus room downstairs, this home is ideal for large groups. Two master bedrooms each have king beds and private baths. There is a bedroom upstairs with a queen bed and private bath, and a downstairs bedroom with two twin beds. Additional bedding is available on the queen sleeper sofa in the loft, as well as two bunk twin beds in the bonus room. For indoors fun, make use of the game room downstairs, which is equipped with a pool table, a wet bar, and a TV/DVD entertainment system. The group will also love spending time on the decks outside, which provide incredible views of Yellow Mountain and a luxurious hot tub. Silverado Lodge is a sprawling modern cabin situated halfway between Big Sky’s Town Center and the Spanish Peaks mountain range, a 5-minute drive from restaurants, shops and entertainment downtown and just 20 minutes from skiing at Big Sky Resort. Constructed using Western red cedar logs, the 5-bedroom estate offers a feeling of seclusion with sweeping views and a private sledding hill in the backyard. High ceilings with towering beams, floor-to-ceiling windows, multiple private decks and wood-burning fireplaces evoke a classic alpine lodge, while radiant heat, DirecTV and a bubbling hot tub add modern comforts.
