Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. The Black Eagle Lodges are less than 1/4 mile to the Plaza and nearly at the foot of the Black Bear Poma Lift. Ski in to your elegant accommodations and relax on the scenic deck. Blue Grouse Hills is the perfect year-round location for a quiet family retreat to Big Sky, abutting rolling sagebrush and forested hills near Town Center. This quaint neighborhood features a small handful of townhome duplexes styled on the exterior as log cabins with all the comforts of home inside—and lots of outdoor living space for lawn games or playing in the yard. Big Sky Town Center is a 10-minute walk or short drive, where guests will find many of our favorite local shops, restaurants, groceries, and nightlife. Other nearby activities include fly-fishing and rafting on the Gallatin River, horseback riding, and mountain biking. The west entrance of Yellowstone National Park is a 45-minute drive to the south, most of which is through the scenic northwest corner of the park and Gallatin National Forest.

As you step inside this 2-story retreat, you will fall in love with the large picture windows that frame the mountains outside and provide plenty of natural lighting. Decorated in pristine white cabinets with gold accents, the spacious kitchen includes a 4-stool breakfast bar and a large kitchen island with 4 additional stools and stainless-steel appliances.
