Located in the heart of Big Sky's Mountain Village, this historic hotel was part of the late NBC News broadcaster Chet Huntley's original vision for Big Sky Resort. The Huntley Lodge sits on the plaza at the base of the mountain, with the Explorer Lift just out the back door. Under the same roof are restaurants, shopping, ski storage, meeting rooms, and the Solace Spa. The Huntley Lodge includes convenient access to an outdoor heated pool, two outdoor hot tubs, and a fitness center.

In winter ski-in/ski-out access to White Otter chair lift makes this home super convenient for skiers and boarders. There are additional beds in most of the bedrooms, with sleeping accommodations for up to 20 people. The family room is a fantastic place for quality time together, with a gas fireplace, Wii gaming system, foosball and pool tables, two TVs, and a wet bar. End a fun day of skiing by soaking in the outdoor hot tub on the main level. For your convenience there is a two-car garage with two additional refrigerators, as well as a laundry room. Powder Ridge Cabins are handcrafted cabins with roomy floor plans, modern amenities, and old world charm. Located on the north end of the Mountain Village, you can access skiing via secluded trails and bridges. In fact, on your first day of skiing, you can access the White Otter Lift and ski over to the base area to pick up your lift tickets. Just make sure you get exact directions on the best ski route back to your cabin, or you might end up too far down the mountain! Private vehicles are required for this location.

Other nearby activities include fly-fishing and rafting on the Gallatin River, horseback riding, and mountain biking. The west entrance of Yellowstone National Park is a 45-minute drive to the south, most of which is through the scenic northwest corner of the park and Gallatin National Forest.
