Hi, I'm an intermediate/advanced skiier and have booked a chalet in Meribel next year at around easter time for a week. I've heard alot of good things, like there being the biggest interlinked ski area in the world, great pistes and so on, but where really are the best places there for me to ski? It's so big in the 3 valleys that I don't really know where to start! Many Thanks for any help

Hi Wendy. I travelled to the three valleys in January of '03. We fly into Lyon and then drove to Meribel. Great place to ski! We ventured into all 3 valleys during the week we were there and were thoroughly impressed! Enjoy your trip!

Hi Nick, The Three Valleys is the best. I may be biaised I live there!!! There is some really great skiing in Val Thorens. Also, from Val Thorens go over to Orelle - known as the 4th valley - just the very best skiing. Easter time you need to get up high and stay high so go to the top of the Cime de Caron in the Val Thorens valley or up to the top of Peclet on the Funitel de Peclet (the best run from there is the Tete Ronde)
