Hi
This is my first post, We are a family of four 2 kids 17 and 11. We have been skiing to Austria twice (niederau) and loved it. We want to book for next christmas 07 and really cant find what we want, i am sick of looking. Niederau was perfect for us , ski in ski out, small compact village, short tranfer, no buses to slopes, nice hotels, this is why we went back to it again.
I have looked at Morzine France, Levi Lapland, Ellmau Austria, but they are a little out of our reach £ wise. Hubby would love to do France but the resorts dont look that pretty as Austria does. We need a snow sure resort too the weather at the minute isnt good for any resorts if we do plan to go for christmas this will be a main factor.
Can anyone help with my quiry perhaps i have overlooked that perfect resort

Hi, Alison-

I was going to suggest Whistler because of so many ski-in, ski-out accommodations until I realized that you are looking for a Christmas holiday. Whistler will be nuts at Christmas but it is so perfect in every other way - weather, altitude, pedestrian village.
We have gone to Whistler about 6x in the last 10 years and find it perfect for our needs. We've tried other resorts but the size of the mountains can't be beat.
One year we even went during a drought and loved it because prices were down and no lift lines.
Good luck.

Hi Guys
I have booked my skiing holiday
We decided to go the end off January 2008, with the snow as it is at the minute i cant justify spending all that money if it not going to be there!!
I have booked Filzmoos in Austria its part of the SkiAmade, its a lot like Neiderau quite, small, ski to door, pretty surroundings, short transfer, at a resonable cost, i have spoken to people who have been going there for over 25 years and they helped me make up my mind. I have only got to buy the ski passes when we arrive, reall looking forward to it.
