Sounds like a cool project to work on. 

·          How about something that tracks the ski's current altitude and vertical feet skied (per run, per day and maybe even per ski vacation)? 

·          Some places have GPS check points so people know what part of the mountain others in their group are skiing at any particular time.  Maybe each person in a group could have access to everyone's sensor to know who's doing what. 

·          How about something that could connect to a computer at the end of the day that would interact with a virtual trail map, showing you what runs you skied and even shows every turn made?

·          It might also be smart to add some sort of tracking system for powder days.  There's nothing worse than spending time looking for a loose ski when you could be waist deep in fresh pow!

All of this new technology in our sport is eventually going to affect the embellished stories that are told during après.
